I remember the first time my daughter ate an ice cream cone. I held the cone while my husband held her. She took one lick and after the sweet and creamy surprise of Mayfield Vanilla Ice Cream hit her tongue she reached out her hands for more.

You don’t have to be one year old to appreciate tasty cool treats. In the AJC article No-bake Desserts Keep the Kitchen Cool, C.W. Cameron shares recipes for 3 cool summer treats to beat the heat.

  • Lemon Icebox Cake with lady fingers and a custardy filling
  • Summer Pudding with fresh fruit
  • Frozen Mocha Toffee-Crunch Terrine

Chocolate wafer cookies, coffee and vanilla ice cream, melted chocolate chips and toffee bits come together to create the Frozen Mocha Toffee-Crunch Terrine. This frozen treat appeals to me the most however since I’m not a fan of coffee or coffee ice cream, I would probably rename it to be Frozen Mocha Caramel Toffee-Crunch Terrine and nix the coffee for a frozen caramel concoction. Nevertheless, the recipes look yummy and easy to follow.
