A tour of the Georgia Governor’s Mansion is a wonderful outing for kids and adults alike. FREE public tours are conducted throughout the year on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
The tour is a hybrid of a guided and self guided tour. There are docents stationed in each room to teach you about the collection but you may go from room to room at your own pace.

Holiday Tours
The Governor’s Mansion provides special holiday tours where you can marvel at how the home has been decorated for the season. There’s also a tree lighting ceremony and since the mansion is a drop site for Toys for Tots you can bring kid-friendly donations there as well.
What’s Cooking?
Find out what Executive Chef Holly Chute has on the menu then take a look at some of the other “In the kitchen” specials the mansion has to offer.
Family Fun Activities
There are even several handouts for teachers to review with their kids before a school field trip to the Governor’s Mansion. These are also great for parents to review with their children before a family outing to the facility.
If you are a teacher and need the answer keys for these handouts, email Molly Stofko at mstofko@gov.state.ga.us.
